Portfolio Photography Service
A Portfolio Session opens up possibilities
It will include the single, strong headshot that says it all, but it will also have captured all your other casting strengths if you are a versatile actor. A Chameleon. This is the type of session you need if you are a character actor who works playing many different roles. Even a very well-established actor will find this type of session useful to open up casting director’s and director’s minds to ‘other’ types of roles other than the ones they are used to you playing. It’s also really helpful if you are trying to get an agent. Maybe you are trying to break into another territory; like America. Or you are trying to move your career in another direction by showing off your ‘other’ strengths. If this sounds right then the Portfolio Session is the one for you.

What is an Actor’s Portfolio?
The Actor’s Portfolio is a relatively new concept and therefore everyone has their idea of what it means. For me, the looks we achieve should first and foremost serve your casting needs as an actor. A variety of looks will help create a bigger picture of your casting strengths but if you can’t play it, that there’s little point including it in the shoot. That’s what our consultation will determine at the beginning of our session
A casting director needs to be shown how versatile you can look; your agent needs the confidence to put you up for the range of parts they know you can play – if your main photo doesn’t help them do that, then a Portfolio is what you need.

Will all the photos taken be on the contact sheet?
How many images will I have on my contact sheets?
As we will be shooting digitally that’s hard to say exactly but it’s anything from 36 to 60 useable headshots, depending on how many ‘looks’ we are trying to capture. Usually a good portfolio session gets you between 3 and 6 ‘looks’ plus your main headshot. However versatile you are that should be more than enough to show what you can do.
